    Finger Painting Fun

The boys finger painted some valentines last week for the ladies in their lives. I rarely break out the paint, even though they absolutely love it. Here are some pictures and a short video of the fun.

  • valentines 2011

i love our family. I love stephanie so much, and i love our awesome little boys more than i can put into words.

  • Bike crashes

So the boys have been riding their bikes more and more, so today i took them out front and down the street. They are moving pretty good, but slow and get distracted too easily. But still.

Today ezra decided on his own to bomb down the hill into the ravine. First through the rocks, then i convinced him the grass is much softer to fall on. He fell all three times, but kept wanting to go again.

I got the second one on video. Notice after pick him up he wants his bike asap. Sad news is his bike may need some repair and wood glue after the third crash.

  • My Messy Boys

Last week Ezra and I were busy looking for a missing toy and Noah found a tub of lotion and got a spoon from the kitchen. Luckily he had opened it on the tile, so when Ez and I wondered upon him I let Ez join in for a bit.

Noah rubbing it in, yea this was some strong smelling lotion in large quantities!

Hooray they both have spoons now!

    Stirring it up.

At least they were willing to clean it up!

Here is a short video of Ez skating on the lotion. He did really good and didn’t fall once. (He must have his daddy’s balance!) Wish I would have started taping earlier.

  • Video time – 01.18.2011

This is how the boys react every time they spot our car when we are leaving the grocery store. every time. We’ve been know to make people laugh. Sorry for the quality and the bumpiness of the video, but I’m pushing a giant, heavy cart and using my cellphone.

Here’s a video of Noah cooking for Ezra and then feeding him.

Noah finally figured out his bike. He is so proud of himself. (I’ll be honest though the video isn’t super exciting, but we are still proud of him.)

  • Ethiopia Reunion – 2011

We had a little reunion with the two other families we traveled with in Ethiopia this weekend. We had a ton of fun. It is amazing to see how much all our kids changed since we traveled in June 2009. On Friday night I served up Ethiopian Sloppy joes, it is a nice cheat when you still haven’t perfected injera. Then on Saturday we went to the zoo and only lost one kid for a bit (don’t worry the missing child was found quickly and had no idea s/he was missing). We got to see the stingrays, some even got to pet them, the boys just loved that they got to play with water. Sunday we served up sandwiches for lunch and let all the kids run around the backyard and get nice and dirty. Some naps were had and then pizza to end the weekend.

I hope we can continue having these every few years and watch the kids grow together.

You can see some more pictures here.

  • Abby’s B-day

Abby turned two December 31 and had her b-day party at Chuck E. Cheese this year. All the kids had a lot of fun and all the adults were thoroughly wiped out.

    Happy Birthday Abby!
