First Snow Day

We took the boys up to Papa and Nama’s cabin yesterday to see some snow. There was a lot of it too, over a foot! It was soft and fluffy and not really good for making snowmen or snowballs, but it was still fun. Noah kept taking his mittens off so he could more easily grab the snow for snacking. They also just kept digging in the snow, I wish I would have thought of bringing their sand toys up, they would have had more fun with those. I think they enjoyed the snow and tolerated the cold okay. It was a fun way to start of the new year!

Video Friday – 12.31.2010

I thought I would change things up a bit this Friday and share some videos instead.

We gave the boys bikes for Christmas, we thought they would be excited.

Cookie Making Time

This morning the boys and I made sugar cookies. Dough was eaten, icing was tested, and sprinkles were slightly over used. 😉

Videos of the tree and misc

Noah And Ezra Awake from nap to find the tree they helped pick out earlier in the day, all lit up with pretty lights. I have no idea why they felt the need to blow out the lights like birthday candles, but they tried anyway.

Ezra being a ham for the video camera, so i put him to work on saying some words

Shutterfly Cards

Matt and I have never done a photo card to mail out. We usually just do an email (yes we are cheap and procrastinate so email is easy for us), but we know people love receiving pictures of the two little cuties that live in our house (Noah and Ezra if you are confused, sorry Matt it’s not you). When I heard about Shutterfly’s Holiday Card promotion I got excited! 50 free cards! I am so excited to print some this year, choosing a photo will be so hard. We have a lot of great photos of them. Of course, there are lots of ways to utilize all those photos. Photo books are our gift of choice for grandparents, but I also think the desk calendars would make a good gift.

We also love receiving pictures of all the little cuties in our life, so go here to receive your 50 free cards.

Halloween 2010

Cleaning the pumpkin together.

Ez loved it.

He takes after his mommy and likes playing with the guts. 🙂

Noah didn't have the same love. It's on my foot!

But he did like the blue bowl. 😀

Hooray! We got them to put the heads on for one picture. 🙂

Trick or Treat!

Pumpkins at the Botanical Gardens

The Desert Botanical Gardens had a little pumpkin patch this weekend.  Unfortunately to get to the pumpkin patch you had to do a hayride and the line was about an hour long.  With three antsy toddlers we decided to skip that part.  We had a nice time running around the garden and seeing some pumpkins on a truck.

Halloween Costume Ideas

We tried on the boys’ costumes from last year and they still fit, but the boys absolutely do NOT like having something over their heads. This rules out lots of cute costumes for toddlers.

I would like to hear your ideas for Halloween Costumes for twin boys, with no masks or head pieces. Hats might be okay, but probably wouldn’t last long. We are currently thinking of Ketchup and Mustard, but would love to have more ideas.

Fathers’ Day Pictures

I finally have removed the Fathers’ Day pictures from Matt’s camera. Yes I am aware that was almost a month ago, but I don’t like to touch his camera.

On Fathers’ Day we made waffles, went to my parents’ for lunch, and then napped! Here’s some pictures from our day.

Yummy Waffles!
Noah liked them too!
Matt's stack (okay only slightly kidding, he did eat a ton though!)
Do not take this kid's cell phone!

OKC Trip 2010

My Grandparents, John and Kay

Last weekend we went to see my family in OKC. My grandparents had celebrated their 60th Anniversary and we were having a party to celebrate. Plus everyone needed to meet my little cuties!

The trip was a lot of fun but exhausting. The boys did not take to sleeping in pack and plays very well. The first plane ride wasn’t too bad, but the second one with overtired toddlers, was horrible. Funny story, as we were boarding the gate attendant says to Matt, “if they are screaming on the plane the flight attendants will come talk to you.” Matt’s response, “To do what kick us off the flight?”

Here are some of my favorite pictures. I put more here and here.

Punch and Cake, hmmm is that why Noah stayed up until midnight that night?
Ez thought the ice cream was a little cold, Grandpa and I thought his face was hilarious!
Ez to Hudson, "Give me that paci!"
Ayden pulling all three toddlers around, up hill in the grass, impressive
Enjoying some quiet time with my Grandpa
Ayden entertained Ez for about 30 minutes by jumping in and splashing him
Noah escaped mid-diaper change and boy is he getting fast
Tackled!

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

We took the boys to their first parade this morning and they had a ton of fun.  They loved the drums, thankfully there were plenty between marching bands and pipe and drum brigades.  The dogs were a lot of fun too.
