On August 4 the boys started kindergarten. They are really liking school for the most part. It has been quite the transition for all of us with many rough afternoons, but we are finally all getting used to our new routine and long days. Here are some pics of their first day. Sorry no good pics at school, it was very crowded and we weren’t allowed inside.
The boys had their school Christmas play today. They were angels. Each child had to say their own line. The boys were the loudest (without screaming) and clearest. They did great!
The boys started their first day of preschool last week. They go 4 mornings a week. Ezra was a little anxious this year, but was totally fine when we got there.
Today was the boys’ last day of school. They had a party with lots of water play. They had lots of fun with their friends and ate too much sugar. Noah was named the class mathematician and Ezra the class scientist. So proud of my smarty pants! They’ve grown and matured so much this year!
The boys’ preschool hosted a mother’s day tea. We had yummy snacks and tea. The boys made gifts and cards. They put on a little show. Ezra was super animated while singing and Noah covered his ears. Apparently he doesn’t love his classmates voices.
The boys had their first day of school last Wednesday. They LOVED it. They like their teachers and their new friends. The class is nice and small, 7 total kids, 3 boys and 4 girls.

We debated back and forth about sending the boys to preschool this year. They still have two years until kindergarden and we could have waited another year. This summer they went to VBS and a summer camp. They absolutely loved both. We were able to see how much they loved having a little separation from us and how much they loved seeing other kids. After that we decided to send them to preschool. They will be going 2 days a week for just 2.5 hours a day. I think this is just the right amount of time for them and me.
Their new teacher came by the house yesterday to meet them. She is absolutely wonderful and they loved her.

School starts in September and they are already asking when they get to go.
