Bikes may be a part of the solution, but we also need to look at investing in other avenues of energy generation. It seems to me that the greenpeacers are a little narrow minded when it comes to this problem it's either all or nothing for them. I have never once heard a GPer to come up with a compromise. Well here is one for you. We invest in new cleaner refineries and promote bikes as an alternate form of transportation. We could reduce out emmissions with new year 2000 technology in the oil refineries and produce more fuel with every barrel of oil procured and we could reduce the need by riding a bike. How's that hit ya? Only when we need to head into phoenix. People are always shocked we ride 3 or 4 miles (takes around 15 minutes, driving takes 6 minutes) to church. Often the shocked people live closer than we do. I can honestly say we average less than 2 fill ups per month in car. we maybe drove 7000 miles last year. I change the oil not because we hit 5k, but because its been 7 or 8 months. so this guy really has no clue, and probably drives a hummer. this still gets me fired up. :mad:
